Detroit, Michigan News Releases

(Detroit.CityRegions.Com, September 07, 2014 ) Waterford, MI – Chris Wechner, Marketing Director of The Ultimate Analyst, discloses his plans to connect with Southeast Michigan businesses in order to promote local enterprises. “I would like to learn about local businesses and have other people around here learn about them as well,” shares Wechner. “There are a lot of really good businesses that seem to be hiding from way too many people.”
Forbes.com revealed that there are 28 million small businesses (SBs) in the US. More than 270,00 of the country's SBs, according to the Small Business Administration, are from Michigan. This number includes large employers with more than 500 employees, small employers with less than 500 and non-employers who commit to their work as a freelancer.
Small businesses have taken over a larger share in the country’s market. SBs have generated over 65% of the net new jobs since 1995, with 543,000 new businesses getting a start-up every month. With this kind of movement in the trade, there is no reason for local employment to positively progress. The bad news is, not all of those businesses stay in the long run. Bloomberg discloses that 8 out of 10 businesses crash down only in the span of 18 months, leaving many people without work.
Why does this happen? The first reason, as Bloomberg reveals, is the businesses' lack of deep dialogue with the customers.
Every business has its own strong points, Wechner believes, but somehow, companies fail to send that message along. “Many people are curious about businesses, but they don’t know how to contact them so they can learn,” he shares in his blog, http://ChrisWechnerMarketingIdeas.blogspot.com. “I’m hoping to share stories and inspire other owners to start or improve their businesses.”
It is essential for small businesses to communicate clearly and compellingly, adds The Ultimate Analyst Marketing Director. “Each business has a lesson for us to learn, if not many lessons," Wechner discloses. It is vital for businesses to allow their customers to see their beginning, struggles and growth, somehow letting their audience join in their journey. "There is almost always an interesting story to share or read.”
With this, Wechner plans to hold individual company consultations and analyze what can be improved in the business’ marketing strategy. He added, “I’m hoping to attract enough businesses to be able to share to feature one business within my blog each week.”
Currently, Wechner aims to focus on companies within Southeast Michigan, including Detroit, Ann Arbor, Flint and Monroe and those cities in-between.
