Detroit, Michigan News Releases

(Detroit.CityRegions.Com, January 29, 2015 ) East Lansing, MI -- BBI Flags, a retailer of American flags and state flags, today announced it has donated portion of its profits each month to three organizations that help veterans. According to BBI Flags CEO Joanne Hayes, part of the company philosophy is to give back to the community and decided the best way to do that was to support those who defend the flag.
"Since our strongest selling product is the U.S. Flag, we thought who better to give back to than the men and women who fought for our country and our flag - our veterans," said Hayes. "So we decided to pick an organization that helps veterans and donate a portion of our profits each month. But in the course of our research, we came up with three great organizations and since we could not bring ourselves to pick just one of these, we chose to donate to all three."
The company chose to donate to DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Charitable Service Trust, Veterans of Foreign Wars Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project. Hayes added that each of these organizations have impeccable reputations and contributions.
"Each of these organizations has had a tremendous impact on the lives of veterans and their families, so we are proud to sponsor all three with a monthly donation and we encourage others to do the same." Said Hayes.
DAV (Disabled American Veterans) empowers veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity by offering a full range of services.
Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Foundation fills in governmental assistance gaps for troops abroad, military families back in the U.S. and America's often-forgotten veterans. These programs support all branches of the military, are provided at no cost to the recipients and require no Veterans of Foreign Wars affiliation.
And Wounded Warrior Project raises awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members, helps injured service members aid and assist each other and provides unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.
To encourage more donations, Hayes said BBI Flags has placed links to each of these organizations on their website. So those visiting the site can easily access these organizations at one location. BBI Flags plans to donate a portion of their profits each month to these organizations.
For those wishing to contribute, BBI Flags has links for each of these organizations on their website at BBI Flags.
