Hansen Kids, LLC , brings you a new premium diaper that is better for your baby & for the planet
(Detroit.CityRegions.Com, March 13, 2015 ) Rockford, Michigan -- Diapers play a big role during a child's first few years of life. From newborn until one becomes a toddler, diapers will most definitely be among the top baby essentials. Most parents would agree that using disposable diapers is the most convenient choice when it comes to diapering. That being said, the eco diaper brand, Andy Pandy shares some points to remember when using disposable diapers.
Babies are prone to many kinds of skin irritation and diaper rash is one of the more common types. According to Andy Pandy, when using disposable nappies on babies, parents and guardians must be conscious in keeping the baby's bottom healthy.
"The first tip would be to carefully choose the diaper brand that you will be using for your baby," says Jessica Hansen, co-owner of Andy Pandy. "Because of the delicateness of baby's skin, constant exposure to chemicals found in some disposable diapers may trigger skin irritation and cause diaper rash," she added.
The company highly suggests taking the time to read and research about the product and its ingredients before using it on babies. Andy Pandy recommends products that are made from natural ingredients to promote healthier options for both babies and the planet. However, the company reminds parents who have babies with allergies to some natural ingredients such as corn, wheat and other vegetables sources to be extra careful in choosing eco brands. Some ecofriendly diapers make use of these ingredients as alternatives and thus, reading about the product is highly recommended.
"After checking on the ingredients and making sure that all contents are safe, the following tips may be of big help in choosing the right brand," says Hansen. "One, choose a breathable diaper that is made with cotton-like materials as this will be in direct contact to your baby's skin; so go for the ones that are soft and silky to the touch without the harsh chemicals," she explains.
While changing diapers promptly is an obvious must, Andy Pandy explains that proper ways of doing it will also promote healthier bottoms.
"For newborn babies, it is normal to have two or three stools a day, and that is why checking the diapers from time to time is very important," says Hansen. "Some brands, including Andy Pandy, offer diapers with wetness indicator for easier checking to avoid over exposure to soiled nappies which can, of course, lead to skin problems," she added.
According to the company it is advisable to choose a good spot when changing diapers. "If you can always do it on a changing table, that would be great, but if not, it is better to do it on a well-designated and clean spot to avoid spreading of germs," says Hansen.
"It is also important to know how to properly clean the diaper area especially the genitals," says Hansen. "Clean baby's bum from front to back using water and clean cotton balls and make sure to pat – not rub, the skin dry using a clean towel," Hansen explains. "Also, should you prefer to use wet baby wipes, make sure to choose one that is free of unnecessary chemicals such as fragrance and alcohol," she added.
With these helpful tips, Andy Pandy hopes for a healthy and happy diapering experience for both babies and parents.
