(Detroit.CityRegions.Com, May 18, 2015 ) Southfield, MI – A representative for Robert Shumake, the Honorary Consul to Botswana in the United States, offered up a brief primer on the Republic of Botswana – with a focus on the ongoing initiatives that the country is taking to improve its economy by opening up its doors to more business opportunities within and outside of the country. “One of the great things about Botswana is that it has remained staunchly committed to maintaining a democracy for several decades now,” said the representative for Robert Shumake. “The overall attitude the Botswana government is taking towards business means that outside investment can flow a bit more freely into the country.”
With a relatively strong economy, Botswana has managed to draw the attention of a number of foreign corporations that are now considering calling the small country their second home. “Robert Shumake has played a huge role in helping to shape many of these developing relationships. Mr. Shumake has taken a real interest in not only the growth of business in the region, but also in the well-being of the millions of citizens of Botswana. As Honorary Consul, Robert Shumake has begun to develop programs in the U.S. that can benefit the poor and indigent in Botswana. This includes a number of fund raising events and foundation involvement that will directly provide funds for education and healthcare most notably.”
Known for as much for his drive to improve the living conditions of the under-served, as for his financial acumen, Robert Shumake continues to actively manage his role as a relationship facilitator and deal-maker.
Robert Shumake is Honorary Consul to Botswana. He is a resident of Michigan and has long been an ardent supporter of tourism and trade with the country. He is well known as an international business strategist and best-selling author. With a strong personal drive he is famous for climbing to the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Much of the proceeds from the sales of his books have been donated towards philanthropic causes, in particular for HIV orphans and student athletes.
