(Detroit.CityRegions.Com, December 17, 2016 ) Plymouth Twp, MI – Plymouth Towing, a locally owned towing service in Plymouth Township, is concerned about the safety of both motorists and pedestrians this winter as pedestrian accidents are already increasing. One such accident in Ann Arbor happened last week.
As winter weather continues to threaten the Metro Detroit area, so does the risk of accidents and the potential to change so many people forever. Plymouth Towing recently offered some advice for both pedestrians and motorists.
“Winter can be such a beautiful time of year here in Plymouth with the lights, the festivities and the annual Plymouth Ice Festival. The challenge is that the cold weather can make it difficult for motorists to see, it can create slippery and unpredictable conditions, and it makes everyone in a little bit of a hurry to get in someplace warm. This all means that people, both motorists and pedestrians, are not as aware and cautious as they may normally be.”
He continued to share some tips for both drivers and pedestrians to stay safe, “Assume no one else can see you. That is probably the best advice we can give. This means you need to slow down, and let other people do whatever they are going to do. Be extra cautious, give yourself plenty of time to get to wherever it is you need to go. If the weather is bad, choose to just stay inside.”
