download DRIVE Baby Releases Rear Facing Car Seat Mirror (Detroit.CityRegions.Com, October 21, 2015 ) Grand Rapids, MI -- Drive Auto Products announced earlier this month the worldwide unveiling of its new automobile baby interior accessory from their DRIVE Baby brand. The DRIVE Baby Lion and Giraffe models feature a product blend of functionality and visual appeal that is sure to catch the eye of parents and children around the globe.
"We noticed a large market of an incredibly smart product niche that was missing something," said Richard Rohsay, Public Relations, Drive Auto Products Inc. "Rear facing car seat mirrors, which typically attach to an automobiles back seat headrest, are such an ingenious product that help drivers easily view their children simply by the double reflection in their car rearview mirror. But most products out there are so ‘blah' and bland. That is why we are spicing things up with the bright, beautiful, bold, and fun stuffed animal mirrors!"
Design
The DRIVE Auto Products Car Baby Mirror integrates a functional mounting technique by which adjustable straps connect around any headrest in both horizontal and vertical planes. Each strap can be tightened and loosened to fit any headrest while giving a clear viewing angle to your child. "We looked at using a more complex pivot mounting mirror system, but after evaluating function of those types we felt it was unnecessary and cumbersome." Richard said. Additionally, the mirror features the choice of either the DRIVE Baby Lion or Giraffe hand sewn stuffed animal that is prominent on the corner of a pastel green or blue soft frame.
Material
Paramount to the function of this mirror is a premium mirror surface for optimum clarity. Manufactured from lab-tested acrylic and finished with a protective layer to preserve surface integrity, the reflected image is flawless. The vibrant colored frames are made from a cotton and polyester fabric wrapped around a padded lining that gives the overall softness and gentle touch. The horizontal mounting strap that connects to the headrest uses a woven nylon strap with adjustable buckle.
Size
"With a diagonal size of 14 across the car baby mirror size was chosen in a way that optimized max viewing area within the wide angle convex mirror, but was also not too large to obstruct the driver's view," finished Richard.
